Coolant Pipe 8K0 145 673 AJ

Ensure reliable coolant circulation and optimal engine temperature control with the genuine coolant pipe (part 8K0 145 673 AJ). Engineered to Volkswagen Group’s exact specifications, this precision-formed pipe channels antifreeze between the water pump and heater core, maintaining proper heating and cooling system performance.

Key Benefits

  • Exact OEM Fit
Manufactured from official VAG CAD data for seamless plug-and-play installation—no trimming or adapters required.

  • Durable Construction
Combination of lightweight aluminum core and reinforced plastic ends ensures strength, corrosion resistance and longevity.

  • Optimized Flow Path
Smooth internal bore and factory-engineered bends minimize turbulence, maintaining steady coolant flow and preventing hotspots.

  • Temperature & Pressure Rated
Withstands continuous operation from –40 °C to +125 °C and pressures up to 2 bar without deformation or leakage.

  • Direct Replacement
Installs using original mounting brackets and hose clamps; ideal for routine maintenance or repair after thermal fatigue.

Installation Overview

  1. Cool Engine: Allow engine to fully cool and relieve cooling system pressure.

  2. Drain Coolant: Partially drain coolant below the level of the pipe connections.

  3. Remove Clamps: Loosen original hose clamps and slide them away from pipe ends.

  4. Extract Pipe: Twist gently and pull to detach the old pipe from its connectors.

  5. Install New Pipe: Push the replacement pipe onto each fitting until seated against the stop.

  6. Secure Clamps: Position and tighten the OEM clamps to factory torque specifications.

  7. Refill & Bleed: Refill with fresh coolant, bleed air from the system, then check for leaks and proper heating/cooling function.
